Emerging Solutions Partners with Kelly Services to Complete PeopleTools Upgrades for Three Global PeopleSoft Applications

Chicago, illinois — December 8, 2009 — Kelly Services (Nasdaq: KELYA) partnered with Emerging Solutions to successfully complete simultaneous PeopleTools release 8.49 upgrades for three global PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications including Financial Management, Human Capital Management and Enterprise Portal.

 
PeopleSoft incorporated changes to Integration Broker and message objects within PeopleTools release 8.48. Because Kelly Services was running a PeopleTools release prior to 8.48, they elected a PeopleTools only upgrade prior to PeopleSoft Enterprise Application upgrades to mitigate risk. Kelly Services utilizes over 200 application messages across their PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications and numerous third-party applications. Of the 200 messages more than half were developed in-house. On an average day, Kelly Services processes over 20,000 messages with quarter and year-end averages rising to above 75,000 daily. In addition, this project was the first stage of Kelly Services’ PeopleSoft Virtualization Project.
